Which towel radiator valve is right for me?

So you’ve found your ideal heated towel rail, now you have to decide which valves to buy.

The choices are pretty straight forward, but there are a few things you need to consider. Such as…

Angled or Straight?

Deciding weather you need an angled or straight towel radiator valve will depend on the position of your pipes.

Do your pipes come out of the floor? If yes, then you will need a straight valve.

Do your pipes come out of the wall? In this case you will need an angled valve.

Your style choices

This decision really comes down to taste and what style of radiator you have bought.

At BathEmpire we offer 3 style choices. Lightweight, Premium and Traditional.

Lightweight Valve

Premium Valve

Traditional Valve

The Lightweight is the entry level valve. It features a chrome plated plastic dial.

The Premium is similar to to the Lightweight, except the body has been polished before chrome plating and the dial is made from metal. It functions exactly the same as the Lightweight, it just looks alot nicer!

If you have a traditional towel radiator, a traditional valve is the obvious choice. However, if you are buying a BathEmpire traditional towel radiator, you will need angled valves.

However, if you want total control over the heat of your radiator, there is another option.

Thermostatic Valve

Thermostatic

The thermostatic valve features a built in thermostat which automatically controls the hot water flow into the radiator.

Simply set it to the level you desire and the valve will do the rest. Without a thermostatic valve it is extremely hard to control the temperature of a single radiator.

10 year warranty

All BathEmpire towel radiator valves come with a 10 year warranty.

Standard fitting

15mm is the most common fitting for radiator valves in the UK. Because it’s the most common, all BathEmpire valves are 15mm. If your pipework is quite old you may require a different size, so it’s worth double checking before buying.
