BathEmpire Feature on Channel 4s Double Your House for Half the Money

A bathroom specialist stepped in to help with a televised property renovation in the midst of its own water crisis.

BathEmpire.com, a leading bathware online retailer, kitted out a bathroom for a home being transformed under the watchful eye of property guru Sarah Beeny despite being faced with a freak flood of its headquarters.

A torrential downpour during this summer’s flash-floods caused severe damage to part of the roof and office space at BathEmpire.com’s base in Coventry.

It failed to dampen the spirits of staff who rallied to supply a bathroom suite for a family whose home renovation was being filmed for a new TV series fronted by Beeny.

The cottage near Thame in Oxfordshire was featured in an episode of Channel 4’s “Double Your House for Half the Money”, aired last night (September 18).

The series, made by Red House TV, shows homeowners how to make the most of their property at a fraction of the cost of buying the house of their dreams.

Edward Croft Baker, who is doubling the size of his family home, said: “When you’re going through a house renovation process, you obviously have to check out quite a few different suppliers.

“We found that a lot of them had very standard products but BathEmpire had a much more varied and better quality range.

“They were very helpful and friendly in getting everything delivered, particularly as at the time they were dealing with a flood at their premises.

“Despite having no roof, they were very good at getting everything to us and we were really pleased with their service.”

BathEmpire.com supplied a corner basin with mixer tap and a close-coupled toilet with associated fittings for the cloakroom bathroom, along with bath panels for an additional bathroom.
