The head of BathEmpire.com is in the running for another prestigious award – this time celebrating the best young entrepreneurs in the UK.

Chris Li, founder and CEO of BathEmpire.com, has been shortlisted for Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Growing Business Awards 2012.

When he was just 23, Chris founded Luxury for Less, a multi-channel online bathroom retailer, and went on to launch BathEmpire.com to sell directly to the public three years later in 2009.

BathEmpire.com is now the fastest growing online bathroom retailer, according to Google and Hitwise.

Chris said: “I am delighted to have reached the final of Young Entrepreneur of the Year, particularly as it is an award that has been the launchpad for many of the UK’s future business champions.

“As well as recognising my own personal achievements, it also highlights the phenomenal success of BathEmpire.com which is largely based on building a team with a shared commitment to always going the extra mile for our customers.”

The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony, hosted by former Olympian Steve Cram, at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square on Tuesday, November 27.

The Growing Business Awards, now in its 14th year, was created by Real Business and the CBI and has a history of celebrating many stars of British enterprise including Innocent Smoothies, LoveFilm and Wonga.com

Chris is also up for Midlands Entrepreneur of the Year and Midlands Business Person of the Year in the Midlands Business Awards 2013 – but will have to wait until February next year to find out if he has been successful.
