The founder of BathEmpire.com has been named as a finalist in Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year, sponsored by Credit Suisse.
Chris Li, who launched the site in 2009, is among top business leaders in the Midlands who are behind companies that are driving innovation and growth to have progressed to the regional finals in June.
All those shortlisted have demonstrated tremendous breadth and agility in the corporate and social fields and are showing the potential for growth and job creation.
Adrian Roberts, Ernst & Young Midlands Entrepreneur of The Year UK Leader, said: "In the face of a flat economy, the clear theme from the finalists is that the UK's leading entrepreneurs are searching out opportunities for growth and using innovative thinking to get ahead of their competition wherever they can."
The Awards, which have been running for 14 years, attracted a record number of applications and Chris will join businessmen and women from 30 Midlands companies at the next stage.
If successful at the regional finals, Chris will go on to battle it out in October in the UK Awards for the chance to win the prestigious UK title.
