A fast-growing online bathroom retailer is through to the final of national awards celebrating the best achievements of small and medium sized enterprises and their contribution to the UK economy.
Coventry-based Luxury For Less, which trades as BathEmpire.com, has been shortlisted in the Business Growth category in the HP Smart Business Awards 2013.
The company, started in the spare bedroom of founder and CEO Chris Li in 2006, has achieved rapid growth and turned over £14 million in 2012 & a figure which is expected to grow to £20 million by the end of 2013.
It secured an £8.5 million investment by ISIS Equity Partners in July, enabling a £5 million company relocation to the former headquarters of Adams Childrenswear in Nuneaton to allow further expansion.
The move to the 169,000 sq ft complex, which is more than double the size of the firm's existing base in Exhall, is due to be completed early next year and is set to create around 200 jobs over the next three years.
Chris said: "Reaching the final of the HP Smart Business Awards is fantastic recognition of the tremendous growth that the company has achieved over the last year.
"Our innovative approach continues to drive the business forward and the move to new headquarters will allow us to extensively develop our product lines and further explore new areas of the market."
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the new Serpentine Sackler Gallery in London on Tuesday, October 15. It will feature a keynote address by Lord Younger, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Business Innovation and Skills.
The awards, now in their second year, are supported by Business in the Community, The Prince's Trust, DTP Group, Enterprise Nation, LinkedIn and HSBC.
