Selecting Your Basin Waste
The type of basin or bath waste you need is dependent on whether your basin has an overflow system or not. You need a slotted waste if your basin does include an overflow and if it does not then you would select an unslotted basin waste.
A slotted waste is not suitable for a basin without an overflow and an unslotted waste should not be used for a basin with an overflow.
