Selecting Valves for Towel Radiators
Buying Guides, Choose Your Style, Radiatorsangled valve, bathempire, heated towel rail, radiator valves, straight valve, towel radiatorIf you have pinpointed your ideal heated towel rail and are unsure about which towel radiator valves go with it, the choices are outlined here for you.
It is important to get the right units, as there are a few considerations that you must make. Take a look below at what you need to think about when choosing the appropriate towel radiator valve.
Angled or Straight Radiator Valves
Deciding whether you need an angled or straight towel radiator valve will depend on the position of your pipes.
If your pipes come out of the floor then you will need to go for a straight valve. However, if the pipes derive from the wall, then it would be necessary to purchase an angled valve.
Towel Radiators – Style Choice
This decision really comes down to taste and what style of radiator you have bought.
There are three types of styles available at BathEmpire. These consist of lightweight, premium and traditional.
If you have a traditional towel radiator, a traditional valve is the obvious choice. However, if you are buying a BathEmpire traditional towel radiator, you will need angled valves.
On the other hand, if you want total control over the heat of your radiator, there is another option.
Thermostatic Radiator Valves
The thermostatic valve features a built-in thermostat which automatically controls the hot water flow into the radiator.
Simply set it to the level you desire and the valve will do the rest. Without a thermostatic valve it is extremely hard to control the temperature of a single radiator.
Ten Year Warranty
All BathEmpire towel radiator valves come with a free ten year warranty.
Going Electric?
It is possible to dry your towels without having to switch on your central heating. If you want to find out more about this option, take a look at our article on ‘Three Reasons Why Electric Towel Rails Beat the Alternatives’.
Standard Towel Radiator Fittings
15mm is the most common fitting for radiator valves in the UK. As this is the most common radiator valve fitting, all BathEmpire valves are manufactured to fit 15mm fittings. If your pipework is quite old you may require a different size, so it’s worth double checking before buying.
