This sturdy, chrome plated thermostatic shower mixer valve is a central component of any exposed shower kit. The valve combines beautifully with any BathEmpire hand held shower head, shower hose, and riser rail. The valve has been manufactured to TMV2 standard, which ensures that the manufacturing process stringently adheres to thermostatic safety guidelines. This valve is designed to prevent scalding, and by integrating it into your shower system, you can guarantee safety for all members of the family. What is more, the solid brass core protects against corrosion; for further peace of mind, the valve is covered by a 10 year warranty.

Will it work in my bathroom?

For this thermostatic valve to operate correctly, your water system will need to produce at least 1.0 Bar of pressure. This can be achieved if you have one of the following:

Combination boiler systems
Pumped hot water systems
Un-vented hot water systems
Standard pressurised hot water cylinder type systems

Because most showers drip when the rubber washers have started to wear out, we have taken the rubber washers out of our showers!

Instead, this shower features the latest in ceramic disc technology.

All that is required is a 1/4 turn of your shower control and the ceramic discs will close, forming an impenetrable seal. A 1/4 turn in the other direction and the water will be able to flow freely again.

Just think about how much time you will save now you no longer need to conjure all your strength to stop that maddening drip.

Mirror Finish

Not all chrome is the same.

This shower mixer has been coated in 40 microns of chrome. Allowing for a highly reflective, mirror finish.

How do you tell the difference between poor chrome and great chrome? Place your finger on the chrome. On poor chrome your finger print will leave a mark, on great chrome you will be able to rub your finger print off.

The 40 microns of chrome on this shower means it easily passes the finger print test.

Bill Balchin January 11I bought this to replace a much older mixer valve that would not shut off. Delivery was very fast even in the run-up to Christmas, quality looks very good and price was remarkably low. It is a treat to use this after the old one.The installation should be straight-forward depending on your existing connections. A pair of offset adapters changing from 34 tap end to 12 input pipe end allow for a range of spacings around the 6 region.Because my existing supply pipes come just through the wall at the narrowest possible spacing the new valve now sits about 30mm off the wall on the plain brass adapters. Not a problem but does not look very elegant. Furthermore, my old mixer valve had connections for an olive on the end of the supply pipe but the new adapters have flat ends suitable for a regular tap connector. I eventually got them to seal using fibre washers and boss white. If you were installing this as a complete new installation you could make a neater job.

I liked, in particular, the ability to buy the main unit without having to pay for the peripheral items (which I did not need). One design quirk is that the on off tap has a safety button (exactly the same as is appropriately fitted to the temperature tap) for no apparent reason. The item arrived as indicated and overall this was an efficient and effective transaction. Happy.
