How can I check the quality of your chrome?
For a mirror finish, you need chrome that passes the finger print test

Think all chrome is the same? Far from it.
As a general rule, the thicker the chrome, the better the finish. Chrome thickness is measured in microns. All BathEmpire taps and showers are coated in 40 microns of chrome. Our towel radiators are treated to an even higher grade with 60 microns.
Microns are a great indication of chrome quality, but there is another way.
The finger print test
What's the best way to tell if your chrome is fabulous? Simply place your finger on it.
With poor chrome your finger print will leave a mark. On great chrome you will be able to easily wipe it off.
