Taps Buying Guide
Buying Guides, Tapscloakroom basins, contemporary taps, freestanding bath taps, kitchen taps, modern bathroom taps, wall mounted bath filler tapsAt BathEmpire, we offer a wide variety of taps. Please take a look at the range of styles below if you are unsure about which bathroom or kitchen taps to go for.
Modern Bathroom Taps
We have a great range of round and angular contemporary taps to fit the design of your new bathroom. The mini or cloakroom taps are smaller and are designed to be used in conjunction with our cloakroom basins.
Most of our basins come pre-drilled with a single hole, designed for a basin mixer tap. We also stock separate hot and cold taps if you prefer to replace the taps in your existing basin suites.
Traditional Bathroom Taps
Our bathtubs do not come with pre-drilled holes, so you can choose whether you wish to install hot and cold bath taps, bath mixer taps, or a freestanding bath mixer tap.
There is also a selection of wall mounted bath filler taps. The thermostatic shower automatically maintains the water temperature and you are able to mount it to your bathtub using tap pillars.
All of our contemporary taps benefit from ceramic disc technology. This ensures greater longevity and performance over normal rubber washers.
Similar to the modern bathroom taps, there are separate and mixer taps available. The style depends on the number of tap holes you have drilled on your traditional basin.
Freestanding Bath Taps
Freestanding bath taps are designed purely to be fitted in conjunction with a modern freestanding bath or traditional roll top bath.
Thermostatic Bath Mixer Taps
Thermostatic bar mixer taps are the core component of the BathEmpire bath filler taps.
With these, you are able to design your own style, as you will need to purchase your own shower hose (product code: SH90), any hand held shower head, a riser rail or bracket of your choice.
Kitchen Taps
As well as standard kitchen taps, BathEmpire offer a variety with flexible hoses.
Directional Hose Kitchen Taps
This kitchen tap features a flexible directional hose that unclips from its holder. The spout of the tap is flexible, but does not extend in length.
This kitchen tap is ideal for washing around large dishes when at a loss for sink space.
Pull Out Spray Kitchen Taps
Pull out spray kitchen taps offer you the option of a shower spray instead of the standard water flow.
The hose will extend out of the fixed tap spout, up to a metre in length. A button or lever must be depressed to maintain the spray function. There is also an option of locking the tap in spray mode.
There are two styles available – the chrome kitchen tap and the brush steel kitchen tap. Both these styles benefit from ceramic disc technology, as explained above.
